SusanStedmanProfile2012 Winning Women National Finalist - Susan R. Stedman, Cam Logistics

Susan started her professional career in real estate during the 1980's. Later she moved into the transportation industry and in 1990 she and a partner started their own transportation company. After serving the Columbus area for more than a decade, Susan stepped away from the company to care for a sick parent.

In 2004, Susan was able to refocus on her career and founded Cam Logistics, LLC ("Cam") with the primary goal of helping other companies reduce costs through process synergies and transparency. Cam's origins lie in reverse distribution, where packing and shipping assets are returned for reuse. From there, the Company grew on the requests of its customers expanding its service offerings to include less-than-truckload "LTL" solutions, warehousing, on-demand inventory, and intermodal. Today, Susan focuses her team on offering customers more advanced technology solutions to reduce supply chain lead time through online tracking and standardized daily reporting services. Susan is quick to note that the present success of Cam is owed not only to her contrib, utions, but also to her team that supports the day to day operations and, most especially , to their faithful customers. Under Susan's leadership, Cam remains dedicated to developing open and transparent relationships with their trading partners, which help contributed to the business' stable growth through customer referrals even during the recession. Cam is now a $4.5 million logistics company with an aggressive growth plan , including continued international expansion. Most recently, Cam has worked with a FEMA prime contractor to assist with the relief of Hurricane Sandy allowing resources to reach those in need faster and more cost effective.

When she is not busy at Cam, Susan enjoys spending t ime with her 4 children and 8 grandchildren, as well as growing her candle business.
